Manjaro provides a few official GUI options and has support for many more, but the top Manjaro download comes with the XFCE desktop environment. In the screenshots below, we’ll be using XFCE, but the instructions should be quite similar whether you’re using KDE, GNOME, or some other desktop.
VMware is a commercially developed application with a limited list of supported operating systems. This guide is a courtesy to the forum don't expect any support on VMware related issues. As you can see from above reference - Archlinux and derivatives are unsupported platforms for running VMware products and as such it is unsupported on Manjaro.
KDE is the whole project. They develop Plasma, Plasma Mobile, the KDE Applications suite, Kirigami, and more. Plasma is the desktop environment. It was formally just called KDE, but with the release of KDE 5.0, they renamed it to Plasma. Kubuntu is Ubuntu's KDE spin. The entire system is maintained by the Kubuntu team and Canonical.
Requirements. Most Wayland compositors only work on systems using Kernel mode setting.Wayland by itself does not provide a graphical environment; for this you also need a compositor (see the following section), or a desktop environment that includes a compositor (e.g. GNOME or KDE).
